Aleph Designs was founded in Juneau, Alaska in 2015. Born from a desire to honor and add value to local trees through artistic expression in the form of custom furniture, our pieces are new incarnations of nature’s craftsmanship.

Aleph is a unique company that seamlessly blends influence from multiple cultures into a beautiful Southeast Alaska-made product—Japanese live edge, Danish minimalism, and funky Northwest coast design all have a heavy influence in the final form of our pieces.

We salvage local urban trees and selectively harvest from regulated timber sales within the Tongass region of Southeast Alaska. Each tree tells a story that inspires our design process; every finished piece contains a subtle reminder of its raw past. The innate personality of each slab is revealed in a unique, lasting product for your home or business.

Aleph cares about our environment—we generate very little waste through our cottage manufacturing process and avoid finishes with volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other harmful industrial chemicals. To keep you and your loved ones safe and healthy, we only use LEED compliant vegetable based finishes that are non-toxic, stain and water resistant, and environmentally friendly.
